The work that awaits these Moroccan farmers is harvesting strawberries and citrus in the Spanish region of Huelpa

More than 10,000 new work contracts in Spain await Moroccan farmers in the agricultural season of this year 2019. The Spanish authorities authorized this number during a meeting held in the capital, Madrid, between representatives of Spanish agricultural organizations and officials of the Directorate General of Migration, which is affiliated to the Spanish Ministry of Employment. .

The work that awaits these Moroccan farmers is harvesting strawberries and citrus in the Spanish “Welpa” region, but this year the focus will be more on Moroccan workers, based on the discussion that took place in this meeting regarding the issue of contracts for seasonal workers during the next campaign to harvest fruits.

To whom will priority be given?

Priority will be given to women in general, as follows:

Women with experience or who have worked in agriculture during previous seasons

Married women with children and heads of families

married women

Then unmarried women are in the last rank

These women must also commit to return to Morocco at the end of the agricultural season.

Where can I register?

Registration in the National Agency for the Promotion of Employment and Known Competencies, the province or the group

We note that ANAPEC is responsible for the process of selecting and contracting female workers
