 President Biden repealed the 10014 presidential decision, titled "Declaring the Suspension of Entry of Immigrants Who Pose a Threat to the U.S. Labor Market During the Economic Recovery In the Wake of the COVID-19 Outbreak," on February 24, 2021.  President Biden also suspended PPs 10052 and 10131 from the presidential decision, which continued in PP 10014 after its original expiration. These decisions restricted the issuance of some immigration visas. Immigrant visa applicants affected by these decisions should review the instructions here.

For all applicants whose case documents are eligible and are still awaiting the appointment date from the National Visa Center (NVC) and the Kentucky Consular Center (KCC), you will receive your appointment date on the basis of your first appointment. There are accumulations in every type of visa. If you have a serious medical emergency, you can contact NVC directly to request an urgent appointment.

 DV2020 applicants with a valid immigration visa granted the National Interest Exception (NIE) for presidential geographic decisions COVID-19 and seek entry to the United States, despite the caption of the visa "Entry is subject to PP 10014. Note that the CDC requires proof of negative COVID-19 test three days before traveling to the United States.  Alternative visas may not be issued to individuals whose DV2020 visas have expired.  In addition, dv2020 applicants who were rejected, scheduled or reviewed will not be interviewed or reviewed, as these applicants were only eligible for a visa until the end of fiscal year 2020, which ended On September 30, 2020.
