Canada’s unemployment rate is the lowest it’s been since the start of the pandemic. In fact, more than 154,000 jobs were created last month - and in total, more than 1 million jobs have been recovered.
That’s progress - and we’re going to build on it. We’ve introduced legislation to provide financial support to the workers and business owners most impacted by the pandemic, so nobody gets left behind. We’ll continue to have your back as we grow the economy and the middle class.
Right now, the best way to keep the economy growing - and our country moving forward - is to finish the fight against COVID-19 and get the job done on vaccines. So, if you haven’t gotten your shots yet, get them now. And if you’re eligible for your booster, get it.
